All the latest summer transfer news from La Liga...
There's only one place to start in today's La Liga round-up, and that's with the ongoing Angel Di Maria saga. The Argentine winger has asked to leave the Bernabeu after the arrival of James Rodriguez in the Spanish capital, and Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of a Premier League record deal to sign the 26-year-old, with Real boss Carlo Ancelotti admitting that a deal is close to completion.
"He hasn’t trained. [The transfer] isn’t official yet but it’s close," Ancelotti said. "I thank him for what he has done for this club. I’ve had a personal relationship with Di Maria and he has done a fantastic job. It was his decision. The club wanted him to stay. Good luck to him."
Another player who could be on his way to the Premier League is Barcelona midfielder Alex Song. The former Arsenal star has been linked with a whole host of English clubs, including Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham and even a return to Arsenal, and looks to be on his way out of the Camp Nou having been left out of Barcelona's squad to face Elche tonight.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid have been busy this summer, brining in the likes of Jan Oblak, Antoine Griezmann and Mario Mandzukic, but manager Diego Simeone wants to bring more talent into the club in the form of Inter Milan playmaker Ricardo Alvarez. However, their attempt to loan the Argentina has been rejected, with Inter demanding €12m for the 26-year-old.
Finally, Sevilla have wrapped up a deal to land a replacement for now-Liverpool left back Alberto Moreno. Frenchman Benoit Tremoulinas, 28, has joined on a three-year deal from Dynamo Kiev after days of speculation.
