Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Sami Khedira will be staying at Real Madrid.
The German international has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, with Arsene Wenger's side seemingly a quality defensive midfielder away from being the complete package. But despite Khedira himself saying recently that anything could happen before August 31, it seems he is going nowhere.
Real Madrid TV presenter Phil Kitromilides has tweeted Ancelotti's latest comments regarding Khedira, during which he revealed that the 27-year-old was staying at the Bernabeu.
If that turns out to be true, it remains to be seen if Arsenal will move for an alternative midfielder or make do with the players currently at Arsene Wenger's disposal.
It will also be interesting to see what happens regarding the German international's contract, given that he only has one year left on his current deal and a free-transfer is a distinct possibility in less than 12 months.
