Angel Di Maria has said goodbye according to his Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti.
The Argentine international has been strongly linked with a £60million move to Manchester United this summer, and the Italian's latest comments suggest he will soon be on his way somewhere.
Phil Kitromilides - a senior presenter at Real Madrid TV - has tweeted Ancelotti's latest comments, in which he said, "Di Maria has said goodbye. We thanked him for everything he has done for the club. It's not official but the matter is resolved."
That would suggest that while an official announcement has yet to be made, Di Maria's next destination is all but secured.
It would be a huge surprise if that was not Old Trafford, with United strongly tipped to break their transfer record to secure their fourth signing of the summer.
Ancelotti also revealed that the decision to leave was the player's and that the club "did all they could to keep him."
