La Liga expert says Sevilla defender has been left out of the club's match-day squad this weekend, amid rumours he is closing a deal to Tottenham Hotspur.
Sevilla are due to square off against Valencia at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan later today, Saturday, but there is one established first-teamer who will neither be present in the starting XI nor the substitutes bench.
That man is towering centre back Federico Fazio, who had been lined up by the club's upper brass to succeed Barcelona-bound Ivan Rakitic as the club's full-time captain, but the Argentine defender is, instead, wrapping up a deal to join Tottenham Hotspur.
Balague added that the transfer fee would be €10 million (£8 million) which is the amount that activates a release clause in the 27-year-old's signature.
Regardless of when Fazio completes his deal to North London he will not have signed in time to be registered with the Premier League for Tottenham's Sunday lunch-time encounter with QPR.
