Liverpool have been linked with several top players over the past week.
Liverpool have been one of the busiest clubs in the transfer market this summer as Brendan Rodgers has done great work to improve the squad and compensate for the departure of Luis Suarez.
It’s going to be a long season for the Reds, with the Champions League a new adventure for the boss.
Liverpool remain linked with plenty of top quality players in the transfer market and we’ve taken a look at the latest rumours and news to see who could join the club before the end of the transfer window.
Radamel Falcao (AS Monaco)
The Colombian striker has been linked with a loan move to Anfield in the last seven days. Reports suggest that Liverpool are prepared to pay a £10 million fee to make the deal happen. However, it’s thought that the player would prefer a move to Real Madrid in La Liga.
Mario Balotelli (AC Milan)
A fee of £16 million has been agreed and it now seems to be a matter of time before the deal goes through. Reports this morning suggest the Reds have concerns over the Italian’s behaviour and want a code of conduct clause inserted into any contract he signs.
Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund)
The latest reports suggest Barcelona could try and sign Reus before the end of this transfer window, as they’re banned from signing players for the next two windows. Speculation suggests Reus will leave BVB next year but if Barca move, Liverpool could be forced to make a bid of their own if reports of their interest have been accurate.
Samuel Eto’o (Unattached)
The former Chelsea striker is being linked with a one-year deal to stay in the Premier League. He’d be a savvy and experienced signing for Rodgers to make, which would give the club a core of four top quality strikers if the deal for Balotelli goes through without a hitch.
Eder Balanta (River Plate)
The 21-year-old River Plate defender has been mentioned as a possible defensive reinforcement over the last seven days. However, Liverpool are well stocked in terms of their defence following the arrivals of Javier Manquillo, Alberto Moreno and Dejan Lovren over the summer.
