Argentine centre back Federico Fazio will cost Tottenham Hotspur £8 million, according to the Daily Mail, but such a sum is unlikely to perturb Mauricio Pochettino from meeting Sevilla's valuation as he is allegedly eager to be united with his compatriot at White Hart Lane.
The manner in which the transfer situation has been handled, though, has angered Sevilla, as per a report on AS that claims Sevilla are "furious" with both Fazio and the player's representatives.
Sevilla had already lost one of their superstars after Ivan Rakitic was sold to Barcelona.
The Swiss-born Croatian midfielder left after a super season in which he provided 79 key passes (ten of which were assists) and scored 12 goals from 82 shots in 34 La Liga games.
He was also the club's captain but, in his absence, Sevilla were set to hand the armband to Fazio.
The fact that a transfer now appears to be on the cards, Sevilla may feel the player has acted in a disloyal manner.
AS note that Fazio was "expected" to fly to London earlier today, Friday, in order to open discussions with Tottenham Hotspur.
