CONFIRMED: Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg line-ups – Ex-Chelsea stars start, Bendtner not in squad!

Here is how Bayern Munich and VfL Wolfsburg will line up, featuring Arjen Robben and Kevin De Bruyne, while former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner does not make the matchday squad.

Bayern Munich will be looking to kick off their 2014-15 Bundesliga campaign with victory over VfL Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena this evening.

The Bavarian giants have won the German top-flight title for the past two years and will head into the new season as firm favourites.

Pep Guardiola’s Bayern have the best and strongest squad in Germany and will be determined to open their campaign with a convincing display.

However, Wolfsburg will not be easy pushovers. Dieter Hecking’s side finished fifth last season and will be keen on breaking into the top-four this term.

The Wolves do have a strong team that includes Ivica Olic and Luiz Gustavo, and they will be confident of challenging for a Champions League place.

With just six of Bayern’s first-team regulars in training for the past few weeks, Wolfsburg could well spring a surprise in Munich.

One Wolfsburg player who will be keen to make his mark as the season progresses is Nicklas Bendtner.

The Denmark international striker joined the Bundesliga outfit on a free transfer this summer after the end of his contract with Arsenal, where he was seen largely as a major disappointment.
