Former Liverpool forward Stan Collymore has suggested Raheem Sterling can go as far as he wants in the game but there’s a stipulation.
He has to stay at Liverpool.
Collymore was quizzed on a variety of questions over Twitter and when asked about Sterling’s potential by one fan, he gave a glowing report of the Liverpool and England midfielder.
Sterling opened his Premier League goalscoring account with an important goal in the match against Southampton last weekend.
That backed up impressive performances for England over the summer where he grabbed attention as a bright spark in an otherwise disappointing World Cup campaign for Roy Hodgson’s men.
Sterling is going to be one of Liverpool’s most important players over the course of the season following the exit of Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
His position in the attack will only be strengthened by the imminent arrival of Mario Balotelli from AC Milan as he develops his versatility in a variety of positions across Liverpool’s frontline.
Sit back and enjoy his performances.
