Yesterday Iago Aspas' Twitter account was compromised in quite a funny way.
The Aspas hacker began posting some very comical tweets on his Twitter account yesterday, mostly about the dreadful corner kick the player, now on loan at Sevilla, took against Chelsea last season.
Aspas has rightly received a lot of criticism for the horrific corner that many dubbed 'worst corner of the season' in the 2-0 defeat to Chelsea in April.
And a hacker with a sense of humour took control of the Spaniard's account and began tweeting about how difficult it is to take a corner. Clearly looking for a bit of publicity the hacker sent tweets to betting account @paddypower and a supposed 'in the know' account.
The hacker's final tweet was regarding the shocking headbutt Aspas received in a not-so-friendly pre-season friendly. Sevilla were playing fellow Spanish side Cadiz and Aspas reacted to being fouled by Kike Lopez; the Cadiz man then throws a butt at the 27-year-old sending him crashing to the ground.
Aspas realised late last night that he had been the victim of the hack, posting in Spanish: "What has happened to my Twitter?" This was followed by the official Sevilla Twitter account posting an apology tweet on the player's behalf.
