Naughty Dog gift DLC for TLOU multiplayer to compensate gamers hit by matchmaking problems.
Many gamers playing TLOU Remastered multiplayer on PS4 have been plagued by inaccessibility and delayed sessions caused by problems with the game’s matchmaking.
The issues have been with the game since it launched in July and although Naughty Dog has released updates in an attempt to fix the problem, the studio state there is still more work to be done.
In a recent community update Naughty Dog’s Arne Meyer acknowledges the annoyance felt by gamers.
"We know this can be frustrating and the team here at Naughty Dog wants everyone in our community to know that working on this issue continues to be our number one priority," said Meyer
Outlining what was being done about the matchmaking issues Meyer notes,
"Over the last two weeks, we've discovered that the most significant improvements may come from working with other teams at PlayStation to make updates to some of the existing matchmaking libraries..Since we are working with multiple groups inside and outside of the studio, we don't yet have an exact date on when these updates will roll out."
Meyer also states that fixes should be forthcoming within weeks rather than months. In the meantime, by way of compensation, Naughty Dog will give out two free multiplayer maps for both the PS3 and PS4 versions of The Last of Us.
