Warlords of Draenor will reportedly carry WoW’s homage to the tragically deceased Hollywood actor.
Three character models have been found which share the name Robin The Entertainer. The first, a blue djinn, bears resemblance to William’s role as the genie in Disney’s Aladdin.
The other two models also appear to be references to famous characters played by Williams. A female model, said to carry male voice samples, representing his iconic cross-dressing role as Mrs Doubtfire and a male model, wearing braces, a potential Mork tribute from William’s madcap portrayal of an alien in Mork and Mindy.
Wowhead have extended the theory that the djinn model will transform into the other two characters as Robin The Entertainer tells different jokes.
Indeed it was the request of a recent petition to include a Robin Williams tribute in World of Warcraft to have some of his best jokes in the game.
Following a tweet form WoW game designer Chadd Nervig acknowleging the petition had been taken on board, Blizzard followed-up on Twitter to say:
.@robinwilliams Thank you. You gave us so much joy in our lives, and we hope you enjoyed your time in our world. We’ll see you in-game.— World of Warcraft (@Warcraft) August 13, 2014
Williams, an avid World of Warcraft player, could most likely be found dishing out his humours quips in the World's End tavern in WoW, as was also the request of the petition.
