Tony Yeboah is a cult hero at Leeds United despite only playing for them for two seasons. He scored 32 goals in 66 appearances for the Yorkshire outfit and is most remembered for his spectacular finishes.
He often featured in the Goal of the Month competitions and his effort against Wimbledon exactly 19 years ago to the day is still recollected by many football fans today. The goal just oozes pure class and when the ball hits the crossbar on the way in it just makes the goal so much more special for whatever reason.
Here is the thunderous strike in all its glory.
Any goal scored today which goes in off the underside off is often compared to Yeboah's but in terms of the build up, the control, and the power of the strike its unlikely to ever be beaten in the Premier League.
Unfortunately Yeboah's career was beset with injuries and he didn't quite fulfil his potential but thanks to this goal 19 years ago, he will always be fondly remembered in this country.
