Jose Enrique has once again shown his funny side on Twitter by poking fun at Jon Flanagan's recovery training.

Both Liverpool stars have suffered injury problems recently and missed their side's 2-1 win over Southampton at the weekend.

However, Enrique and Flanagan have been hard at work in the gym in their bid to return to first-team duties.

And the Spaniard saw the funny side as 21-year-old Flanagan trained in a bid to secure his comeback...

Enrique has already shown his sense of humour on social media this season, mocking Manchester United's opening-day defeat to Swansea City.

The 28-year-old declared himself fit for the Reds' Premier League opener but was overlooked by boss Brendan Rodgers, as Glen Johnson started at left-back and Javier Manquillo down the right.

Rodgers will no doubt welcome the return of both Enrique and Flanagan to full fitness, however, with new signing Alberto Moreno also due to link up with the squad.

And Liverpool will need as many options as possible for their next league clash, as they travel to the Etihad Stadium to face champions Manchester City.

Manuel Pellegrini's side also won their opening game with a 2-0 victory at Newcastle United.
