Manchester United look set to sign Marcos Rojo this week and are getting rid of some dead weight as part of the deal. Nani will head to Sporting Lisbon on loan for the rest of the season - a move sure to please those United fans disappointed with the Portuguese international's dramatic loss of form in recent months.
Another player they will be hoping to shift is Marouane Fellaini. The £27.5 million signing from Everton on Deadline Day last summer has been a very unpopular figure at Old Trafford, ever since his former Toffees boss David Moyes snapped him up.
He has simply lacked the tactical nous or speed to play for a club as distinguished as United in playing style and Louis van Gaal is believed to not see him as a commodity for his current team.
But in recent days it has grown seemingly more likely that Fellaini will be on his way to Napoli. Reports in Italy have even suggested the move to link up with Rafa Benitez is as good as done. Joy for most United fans.
But The Sun have led with a picture exclusive today which will send shivers down the collective spine of the United faithful - as it looks like Fellaini is going nowhere.
He has been snapped leaving hospital on crutches and with his left foot in a protective boot after initial reports he injured himself in training for United yesterday.
The injury certainly looks serious and in reality, if appearances are not deceiving, all but rules out a summer departure for the Belgian international.
