Manchester United's departing winger, Nani, has been snapped having his first interview as a Sporting Lisbon player.
Nani has been pictured taking part in his first interview as a Sporting Lisbon player as his move edges closer to receiving official confirmation.
The Portuguese winger arrived in Lisbon with massive crowds greeting his arrival and he is expected to complete a year-long loan move to the club where he started his career at today.
Nani’s departure from Old Trafford comes as part of the deal which brought Marcos Rojo to Old Trafford and it is reported that United will pay the jinking winger’s wages in full during his season in the Portuguese top-flight.
The Red Devils had been keen to shift Nani off on a permanent basis this summer, but using him as a makeweight in a deal to get one of their top targets was the next best option for the club.
Rojo is someone who Louis van Gaal has identified as a player who could enhance his United defence, which is in desperate need of additions, whilst Nani’s form over past few years has seen him fall out favour.
The 27-year-old has claimed just two assists in the last two Premier League seasons and he will hoping to get his career back on track after moving back to his homeland.
It is a switch which has caused great excitement from Sporting supporters and details of the interview which he has been pictured partaking in will be hotly anticipated from the club’s fans.
