Arsenal star Mesut Ozil had to watch his side's Champions League draw against Besiktas from his couch, as his team battled away in Turkey.
The German international was left at home by Arsene Wenger along with Lukas Podolski and Per Mertesacker, yet to return to full fitness due to their World Cup exploits.
Wenger said he plans to re-introduce the trio this coming weekend against Everton, and after watching his side from home, Ozil will be increasingly desperate to return to action.
He will return for the second leg, which is just as well with Aaron Ramsey injured, with a midfield reshuffle required
A draw was not a terrible result, and if Ozil returns to action with a bang and influences the home game in Arsenal's favour, Arsene Wenger's decision to give him an extended rest period will be immediately vindicated.
