Manchester City open to Jovetic departure, Juventus hover

Stevan Jovetic playing for Montenegro

Manchester City's stance on striker Stevan Jovetic seems to have changed with reports that a loan move to Juventus could be on the cards.

Juventus are still looking for another striking reinforcement and their advances for Stevan Jovetic could be successful after all.

The Italian champions are in need of another attacker after seeing new signing Alvaro Morata pick up a knee injury in his first training session with the Old Lady.

The Bianconeri have drawn up a shortlist of striking options and Jovetic's name has constantly recurred.

Manchester City have so far insisted that the Montenegrin international is not for sale, but that could be about to change.

According to Tuttosport, the Premier League champions are willing to listen to offers for Jovetic and could come to an arrangement with Juventus.

City are said to value Jovetic at over £15 million, but no offer of close to that sum has arrived and they may be open to an alternative solution.

Tuttosport believes that City may agree to a loan switch that will allow Jovetic to spend the 2014-15 campaign at Juventus before the two clubs discuss a permanent deal in the summer of 2015.

Juventus would ideally bring Jovetic in on a temporary basis and they certainly don't have £15 million to spend after investing in Morata, but the striker's wage bill could be a significant stumbling block.
