A selection of the latest stories involving Tottenham Hotspur this Wednesday evening.

Juventus are the latest club to be challenging Tottenham for the signature of Memphis Depay according to TalkSport.

Their report cites an article in Italy which suggests the Serie A champions are looking to add an extra forward to their ranks.

Despite having four years left on his contract at PSV Eindhoven, the report says that Depay is open to a move 'one of Europe's elite clubs'.

Manchester United are also said to be interested in the player who worked under their manager Louis van Gaal at the World Cup for the Netherlands.

Spurs are in Europa League action in Larnaca tomorrow evening against Cypriot side AEL Limassol and their manager Ivaylo Petev has said that it will be a good day for his side.

The Daily Mail have picked up on quotes from uefa.com, where Petev said: "I believe August 21 will be a very good day for AEL. There is belief and it is vital that there is in the squad.

"We managed to beat a club like Zenit in our previous tie in Europe and were then unlucky to go out against them because we played with 10 men for some 70 minutes [in the second leg]. But that is now behind us."

Spurs midfielder Mousa Dembele has been speaking to the club's official website about the competition and hopes the side can mount a serious challenge to win the competition - especially with the added of incentive of playing in the following season's Champions League up for grabs.

He said: “We have a good squad so we have a good chance to do well. It would be great to make a mark in the competition. It’s something everybody here wants.”
