Making Assassin’s Creed: Rogue look like the last AC title on 7th gen.

Ubisoft are planning to move on from PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 after 2015, company CEO Yves Guillemot has revealed.

The sobering news for 7th gen consoles came in a recent interview with Game Informer, where Guillemot talks about the growing sales of new-generation hardware making the last-gen console look less viable to Ubisoft.

“What we see is that this year is still fine for the PS3 and 360, but next year because they are selling very quickly, we’ll move to the new hardware,” Guillemot said. “After 2015, it will be hard for us to create games for those systems,”

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Rogue is currently in development for PS3 and Xbox 360, given the words from Guillemot and the fact that AC: Unity will be missing out 7th gen, it looks likely that this will be the last major Assassin’s Creed title on the consoles.
