Serie A transfer latest: Juventus rivalling Arsenal for yet another summer signing

All the latest summer transfer news from Serie A...

Despite already signing Patrice Evra, Romulo, Kingsley Coman, Roberto Pereyra and Alvaro Morata, Juventus are still looking to sign more new players under new boss Massimiliano Allegri. The former Milan manager has replaced Antonio Conte in Turin, and now looks set to make a move to boost the centre of his defence.

With both Angelo Ogbonna and Leonardo Bonucci both linked with moves away from the club this summer, Manchester City's Matija Nastasic has become a top target for Allegri after he starred for Fiorentina some years ago. Yet, just like Kostas Manolas and Adrien Rabiot, Arsenal are believed to be rivalling Juve for Nastasic's signature.

Meanwhile, Arsenal's London rivals Tottenham could be set to shop in Serie A again despite the failure of Argentine winger Erik Lamela. The ex-Roma star could be joined at White Hart Lane by his former team mate Mattia Destro, with Spurs interested in signing the Roma striker - and the player's girlfriend says that a move away from Italy could be an option, with Chelsea also interested.

"We have plans for a family and if Mattia goes abroad, then I will follow him," said Ludovica Caramis. "There are no preclusions about going abroad. His financial stability is tied to his job, so we know how lucky we are and that moving around is all part of the job."

Elsewhere, Leeds United's influx of players from Italian football appears set to continue. Cagliari's Brazilian playmaker Adryan could be close to a loan move to Elland Road, whilst Palermo midfielder Davide Di Gennaro is now another new target as new owner Massimo Cellino brings players to Yorkshire.

Finally, despite speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal, Napoli forward Eduardo Vargas is poised to sign for another London-based Premier League side, with a medical at Queens Park Rangers set for Wednesday.
