Arsenal are said to be edging towards a deal for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, but Juventus may still have an unusual trump card.
The talented 19-year-old has attracted attention from a number of clubs and is reportedly on Roma's shopping list, but Arsenal seem to be in pole position.
It is claimed that Juventus have the advantage because Rabiot's mother and agent, Veronique, would rather he moved to Turin than London.
Rabiot is almost certain to leave PSG, where he is low down in the pecking order, after refusing to extend his contract beyond next summer.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly made a personal plea to Veronique to favour Arsenal, but Juventus may still have a good chance if they can table a decent offer.
However, Juventus may have other transfer priorities and are currently said to be paying close attention to Inter's Colombian international Fredy Guarin while waiting to see if Manchester United table a bumper offer for Arturo Vidal.
