Arsenal failed to score against Besiktas in an open game earlier this evening as the club's Mr. Reliable picked up two bookings.
Arsenal's emerging superstar Aaron Ramsey appeared likely to make a habit out of scoring game-changing goals of late.
The Welshman netted a 109th minute winner against Hull City in the 2014 FA Cup final, scored the second of three goals in Arsenal's demolition of Manchester City in the Community Shield and grabbed a 90th minute winner against Crystal Palace to win the Gunners maximum points on their opening fixture of the 2014-15 Premier League season.
Considering he also scored against Norwich City, during the 2-0 victory on the final game of the 2013-14 league season, the 23-year-old had a chance to score in five successive matches - yet instead he picked up two unnecessary bookings to earn an early bath during the Gunners's 0-0 draw with Besiktas in the first leg of the third qualifying round of the Champions League earlier this evening, Tuesday.
Ramsey, naturally, protested the 80th minute decision but was powerless… and now will be forced to witness the second leg at the Emirates Stadium from the sidelines next week.
