Spanish football pundit selects Mario Pasalic as one to watch this coming season.
Mario Pasalic is a young player with a big reputation, who hopes to back it up with displays in Spain this season.
Chelsea bought the teenager from Hajduk Split this summer, and immediately loaned him out to Elche.
Pasalic, 19, is already a senior Croatian international, and has been compared to Frank Lampard due to his eye catching style of scoring goals from midfield.
The hype has been increased by Spanish football pundit Gulleim Balague, who selected Pasalic in his SkySports column as one to watch in La Liga this season.
He adds: "Pasalic could prove to be a valuable acquisition for manager Fran Escriba."
Pasalic has a real baptism of fire when Elche begin their campaign next week, away at Barcelona. If he makes a big impact in that one, the hype could reach new levels.
The midfielder revealed how his move was encouraged by his new Chelsea boss last month:
"I always wanted to play in the Spanish league and when I arrived at Chelsea Mourinho told me that the best thing for me was to play in Spain and have the opportunity of facing big teams like Real Madrid, Atletico and FC Barcelona . I'm very happy to play in the Primera with Elche.
"I can not promise to score 10 goals, but I will try to be the best player for Elche."
