Leeds are closing in on the signature of Brazilian 19-year-old Adryan, but a deal is not yet complete.
Adryan has been linked to Manchester United in the past, but he currently plays for Serie A side Cagliari, hence Massimo Cellino's desire to bring him in.
Cellino has admitted that Leeds are trying to finalise a deal after Cagliari's new coach Zdenek Zeman made it clear that Adryan doesn't have a first-team place for the coming season.
The agent of the former Brazil Under-17 star has confirmed that talks are underway, but there still seems to be some distance to cover before a deal can be completed.
"The lad isn't in England at the moment, but that's not to say that he won't be coming in the next few days.
"We are constantly talking to Cellino and Leeds sporting director Nicola Salerno because Adryan wants to play for Leeds given the situation we have at Cagliari."
The next 24 hours could prove crucial in the future of Adryan, who could represent an exciting transfer coup for the Championship club.
