Xbox One update being rolled out now; buy games on the go

Xbox One System

Micosoft's latest Xbox One update is now available for download and includes 3D Blu-ray playback, updated activity feeds, and more.

Over on Xbox's Major Nelson blog yesterday, they announced the latest Xbox One update is being rolled out. We've broken down what you can expect to see within the update, and you can watch the video below to see some of it in action too.

Some of the features being rolled out are as a result of feedback received from Xbox One users. The Xbox Smartglass app will now allow you to make remote purchases on the go, so if your console is set to auto-update, any purchases you make will begin to download straight away.

The activity feed has been enhanced to include a single column, but it's now longer and includes more info, adding Facebook-style features to 'like' and 'comment' on posts etc. On your Friends list you'll be able to see when friends were last online and what they were doing at the time. A notification has also been added which will pop up on screen when your controller's battery is running low.

3D Blu-ray's can now be played on the console, and you can now disable notifications during video playback.
