Ramires posts message ahead of Burnley v Chelsea

Ramires says that he has faith in his Chelsea teammates to pick up the three points against Burnley in their Premier League game tonight.

Chelsea star Ramires says that he has faith in his teammates to collect the three points when they take on Burnley tonight.

Jose Mourinho’s side travel to Turf Moor where they will be looking to stamp their authority on the Premier League from the off.

The Blues take on a newly-promoted Burnley side who are the bookies’ favourites for relegation this season after a summer of understated spending.

The club have brought in a number of experienced players but no star attractions for the top level, and manager Sean Dyche appears to be relying on the team unity that carried them up the divisions to work in the top flight.

The transfer window could hardly have been more contrasting for Chelsea, who spent big once again as they look to claim the Premier League title.

The London club brought in Filipe Luis, Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas over the summer, and have added real depth and quality to a team already littered with talent.

It means that Chelsea will go into tonight’s game as heavy favourites, and Ramires clearly has confidence in his teammates to avoid an upset.

The Brazilian midfield star posted a message on Instagram, saying: "Good luck guys!!! I'm suspended for first league game today, but i have faith and trust in my mates! Come on Chelsea!!”

Ramires picked up the suspension after receiving a four-match ban for an off-the-ball incident in Chelsea’s game against Sunderland – which they lost 2-1 – at the back end of last season.

He was forced to sit out on the final three games of last season as a result of his indiscipline and this is further punishment for the 27-year-old.

Ramires will be available for selection again when Chelsea take on Leicester City on Saturday, and he will be hoping that they will already have three points on board by then.
