Manchester United's Jesse Lingard has left hospital on crutches following the injury he suffered on his debut for the club.
The 21-year-old started Louis van Gaal's first competitive match in charge - a 2-1 defeat to Swansea City - but the attacking midfielder lasted just 24 minutes before being replaced by Adnan Januzaj.
It was a huge blow for Lingard, of whom big things are expected. But while fellow debutant Tyler Blackett played the entire match it remains to be seen when Lingard will return to action.
The England under-21 international left hospital with his right leg heavily strapped, but the exact nature of the injury is not yet known.
Soon after suffering the injury, Lingard was seen striking the Old Trafford turf in frustration, and while he attempted to play on he was quickly replaced by the Belgium international.
While United look to bring in the additions that can help them back up the table, it seems it could be a while before Lingard is able to join them.
