Calum Chambers is only 19 years of age and has played just once for Arsenal in the Premier League, but his teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is already impressed with his maturity.
‘Calum Chambers at the back, at a young age, is playing with so much maturity’, the 21-year-old told Arsenal’s official website.
‘To make a big move to a team like Arsenal and to fill in for someone like Per Mertesacker as well as he has done is credit to him’.
The teenager started against Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium and had an impressive outing, ably replacing 2014 World Cup winner Per Mertesacker in central defence as Arsenal won the clash 2-1 (click here to read more).

Chambers was arguably the best defender on the pitch at the Emirates on Saturday and does indeed have a bright future.
Although the youngster may not be guaranteed a regular place in the Arsenal starting line-up, his versatility to play at right-back, centre-back and in a more advanced role will be a boon to manager Arsene Wenger.
