'This is the beginning' - Arsenal prospect Campbell Tweets from Emirates dressing room

Joel Campbell Arsenal

Joel Campbell will be waiting for his debut a little while longer, but he is excited to finally be a part of the Arsenal first-team.

Arsenal have won their first game of the season, Aaron Ramsey scoring a last minute goal to take victory from Crystal Palace at The Emirates Stadium.

It was an exciting day for Arsenal fans who got to see Calum Chambers and Alexis Sanchez in action in the Premier League for the first time.

In the end it was a tense affair, but Arsenal deserved their three points. The introduction of substitutes Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain did help their cause - but one man who did not get on to the pitch was Joel Campbell.

The young Costa Rican shone at the World Cup this summer and after three seasons out on loan Arsene Wenger has now confirmed Campbell will remain at the club this season, after being impressed by his performances in training.

Campbell was clearly looking forward to his debut. He posted this message on Twitter moments after the line-ups for the game had been announced.

He will have to wait for his 'beginning' a little longer, as he did not get on to the field of play, but he will still be pleased to have finally experienced a Premier League game at The Emirates.
