Newly promoted Leicester City have been linked with Argentine midfielder Esteban Cambiasso in the media and it seems he is a target.
Cambiasso turns 34 at the start of next week and is looking for one final challenge after a glowing career in Serie A.
A popular figure at Inter during a decade-long stay at the club, Cambiasso left to a warm send-off this summer and is now a free agent.
Several teams have been mentioned as possible destinations, including Leicester, who could welcome Cambiasso's experience and class.
"But I've not denied our interest. It's something we will continue to work at.
"We have an interest, yes. But my view on talking on other people's players is that I don't. I don't have a track record of talking about speculation.
"Whether deals can or can't be done it will be based on a number of criteria. We'll work really hard to do the deals. I can't account for other circumstances intervening."
Leicester may have to move soon if they are to stand a chance of snapping up Cambiasso because his CV will make him attractive to many top-flight clubs across Europe.
