Tottenham have released their squad numbers for the 2014/15 season and the allocations suggest that Spanish striker Roberto Soldado is set to stay.
The Spurs squad numbers have been revealed, and although they do not reveal any concrete information about player priority, they can suggest what role a certain player will play in the side.
Hugo Lloris has been handed the number 1 shirt, with new arrival Michel Vorm taking number 13 - a sign that Lloris will remain the first-choice goalkeeper at the club as expected despite the arrival of the Dutch shot-stopper.
Ben Davies will wear the number 33 shirt as he did at Swansea, with Danny Rose retaining the number 3 jersey for the upcoming campaign, although it is still unclear who will be the first-choice at left-back this season.
Davies is expected to be a regular in the lineup following his £10 million move from Swansea, though with Rose signing a new five-year deal, the competition for a starting spot will run throughout the season.
Eric Dier has been given the number 15 shirt and looks set to play a key role under Mauricio Pochettino this year, with Etienne Capoue - who wore the number 15 last season, handed the number 29 shirt.
The French midfielder has been linked with a move away from the club, and the fact that he has lost his number will not help to end speculation about his future in north London.
Another player who has been strongly linked with a move away from the club is Roberto Soldado, but the Spanish striker has retained the number 9 shirt this season and will want to put his disappointing campaign from last year behind him.
Harry Kane has been given the number 18 shirt formerly worn by Jermain Defoe and the young striker will hope to see plenty of action this season after breaking into the first-team last year. Kane has signed a new five-year deal and is a player that the club value highly.
Nacer Chadli is another player who has changed his number as he will wear the number 22 shirt this year, having worn number 21 last season.
What do you make of the squad numbers? Will Roberto Soldado remain with Spurs this season?
