White Paper Games have announced Ether One is to come to PS4.
According to the developer the game is to be rebuilt from scratch using the Unreal 4 engine “to make it feel great on console.”
“Our aim with Ether One is to tell a story about how fragile the human mind can be and what it would mean for someone close to you to not even be able to recognize you anymore,” said Pete Bottomley, Co-founder & Game Designer at White Paper Games. “A lot of our family members have struggled with the illness of dementia and we felt it was something close to our hearts which we had to explore in our game.
“A lot of you reading may have experienced the effects of dementia first hand, if you have, we hope a game like Ether One will help you relate to your own experiences.”
Ether One puts you in the role of a Restorer, whereby you enter the minds of people suffering with dementia to seek out broken fragments of memories to piece them back together and heal the patient involved.
“We hope we can bring you a new type of game for your consoles that you haven’t played before,” added Bottomley
