Sony promote the Vita port of Minecraft in a new trailer
4J Studios, the devs responsible for Minecraft on consoles are nearing the promised release this month of Minecraft on Vita, PS4 and Xbox One.
Earlier this week 4J let on that the PS4 version was nearing completion. “"We've handed Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition over to Sony for final test.” the studio announced on Twitter.
With regards to the Xbox One and Vita ports 4J have tweeted, "We're still bug fixing Minecraft Xbox One and Minecraft Vita. We'll give you news when we have it."
The Vita version of Minecraft will allow for saved worlds to be transferable between PS3 and Vita, letting you take your creations with you ready to be moved back again to edit on your TV.
Creations saved on Vita and PS3 can be transferred to the PS4 version but not back again as the game on PS4 can render much larger worlds.
The same applies to transfers between Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Those that already bought MInecraft on Xbox 360 and PS3 will be able to upgrade to the new gen console versions for a “small fee”
