West London latest: Taarabt wants to leave QPR, Fulham drawn against local rivals

The latest transfer news from Queens Park Rangers and Fulham.

Harry Redknapp has revealed forward Adel Taarabt is looking to leave QPR.

The Moroccan, who is on a reported £65,000 a week, is said to be wanted by AC Milan - and Redknapp says he won't stand in his way should he seek a move away from west London.

“He’s not fit and I think he’s looking to move; and I wish him well," Redknapp said. "And he’s not done one real day’s training since we’ve been back, with injuries and that."

Meanwhile, the Rs boss also confirmed that Clint Hill will remain QPR captain, although a new skipper may have to be reviewed week by week when the veteran is not starting at Loftus Road.

However, Redknapp has laughed off his side's supposed interest in Barcelona and former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song.

But the 67-year-old did confirm QPR are monitoring midfielders Jonathan de Guzman and Leroy Fer.

Felix Magath's Fulham side have been handed one of the most dramatic draws possible for their opening Capital One Cup clash of the season.

Indeed, for the first time since 1998, the Cottagers will face west London rivals Brentford at Griffin Park.

And, although the second-round tie won't be played until November, the battle on social media has already begun.
