Spurs transfer news: ‘Keeper praises Yedlin move; possible Schneiderlin twist

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

Following the news that Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal to sign USA international DeAndre Yedlin, the right-back’s international colleague has praised the deal.

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard told ESPN that he was pleased for the youngster.

In quotes later published by London 24, Howard said, “He’s a good kid, he’s humble, he’s very respectful and he’s got a bag full of talent.

“I think he’ll do really well in the long-run at Tottenham.”

Yedlin becomes Spurs’ fourth summer signing, after Ben Davies, Michel Vorm and Eric Dier.

In other news, Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin reportedly has a gentleman’s agreement that he can move this summer.

That is the claim of the Daily Mail, which suggests Tottenham could get the Frenchman if the verbal agreement – despite being made under a previous regime – is ultimately honoured.

It had been suggested that the selling at St Mary’s was over. But rumours persist that Schneiderlin could reunite with his former manager Mauricio Pochettino at White Hart Lane.
