Robbie Savage believes that Arsenal will have a good campaign and make the top three.
Robbie Savage believes that Arsenal will finish in the top three of the Premier League this season.
The former footballer-turned pundit, tweeted today to say that he felt Arsenal could successfully improve this season and push into the top three in the division.
He is just one of a number of football supporters and pundits to feel that the Gunners could mount a title challenge during the upcoming campaign.
Arsenal’s signing of Alexis Sanchez this summer has caused much anticipation for the season at the Emirates, as the club look to finally get back into title contention again.
The club last won the Premier League back in the 2004/05 season, but there has rarely been a time since when the fan-base has been so optimistic heading into a campaign.
The Chilean winger’s arrival is a major reason for this as he will be added to a squad already packed with quality.
In attacking areas, especially, Arsenal look strong. Sanchez will join a line-up which contains the likes of Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla, Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski meaning the Gunners should have no problems scoring.
There are still some concerns over their midfield, though. Whilst Aaron Ramsey is one of the best players in the Premier League, alongside him Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta could do with upgrading.
Arsene Wenger has reportedly tried to do this by signing Sami Khedira and this summer, but the manager revealed that they have not even got close to signing the German powerhouse.
That particular deficiency isn’t enough to put Savage off backing them to have a good season, though, and Arsenal fans will be hoping that the Welsh international is right in thinking that their side is on the verge of having an exciting campaign this time around.
