La Liga transfer latest: Barca 'giving up on Cuadrado' as Madrid wait for Khedira bids

All the latest summer transfer news from La Liga...

Real Madrid have been busy splashing the cash once again this summer, bringing in Levante goalkeeper Keylor Navas, Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos and Monaco playmaker James Rodriguez, but departures will now expected in order to make room for the new signings.

Kroos' arrival has been expected to push his international team mate Sami Khedira out of the Bernabeu exit door, and Arsenal and Chelsea have both been linked with moves to sign the 27-year-old, and reports in Spain today suggest that his exclusion from the club's squad for the European Super Cup final means that he is free to leave, with the club simply waiting for bids for him

Elsewhere, Barcelona's pursuit of new talent has already brought them the likes of Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Claudio Bravo, Jeremy Mathieu, Thomas Vermaelen, Ivan Rakitic and Luis Suarez, but new manager Luis Enrique has been strongly linked with a move to sign Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado, with the intention of moving him back to right back in place of Dani Alves.

However, with the Serie A club holding out for around £35m for the Colombian World Cup star, it's now believed that Barcelona are set to give up on the prospect of signing the 26-year-old - which would leave Manchester United in the clear to bring him to Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Barca had been expected to let winger Gerard Deulofeu play a part in the first team after the youngster impressed during a loan spell with Everton last season. However, with Enrique reportedly unconvinced the Deulofeu's attitude, he's been loaned out once again, this time to La Liga rivals Sevilla.
