Adnan Januzaj, who wore the no.44 shirt last season, has been handed a huge boost by being given Ryan Giggs' old shirt number - and Neville believes it is the right move for the club.
The 37-year-old, who used to play for United and was a member of David Moyes' backroom staff at Old Trafford last season, admits Giggs will prove a 'massive act to follow' but says he is 'convinced' Januzaj can handle the pressure.
Giggs is now Manchester United's assistant manager, while Neville believes the 19-year-old will become a 'great player' for United.

Louis van Gaal's side will kick the Premier League season off on Saturday lunchtime when they host Swansea City.
United faced the same side in their league opener last season, getting Moyes' reign off to the perfect start with a 4-1 win.
However, Van Gaal has been hit by the news that Luke Shaw has been sidelined for four weeks with injury.
As far as Januzaj is concerned, it remains to be seen whether he will play a part this weekend. But the future certainly looks bright for the 19-year-old - United's new no.11.
