Report: Inter not impressed by Tottenham’s Guarin bid

Fredy Guarin

Italian newspaper Tuttosport believes that Inter won't be willing to accept a part-exchange deal of Roberto Soldado for Fredy Guarin.

Tottenham are believed to have offered Inter £9.5 million plus striking flop Roberto Soldado in exchange for midfielder Fredy Guarin, but they are set for disappointment.

Guarin is almost certain to leave Inter this summer having nearly moved to Juventus last January when an exchange deal involving Mirko Vucinic moving the other way fell through at the last minute.

After the Turin transfer dissolved, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham reportedly weighed up the possibility of signing Guarin, but he was reintegrated to the Inter fold for the rest of the 2013-14 campaign.

Now, Spurs are widely believed to have put in an offer for gifted midfielder Guarin that includes Spanish striker Soldado being used as leverage.

However, Tuttosport believes that Inter aren't interested in Soldado and will reject the offer, opting instead to wait for Juventus to return to the table.

Juventus are likely to move for Guarin again should they agree the sale of Arturo Vidal to Manchester United.

Inter are currently chasing Parma winger Jonathan Biabiany, who was also wanted by West Bromwich Albion but the Premier League side couldn't match the valuation.
