Over 30,000 people attended Sevilla’s UEFA Super Cup clash against Real Madrid at the Cardiff City Stadium in Cardiff on Tuesday, and one of them was Manchester City winger Jesus Navas.
The 28-year-old Spain international was caught on camera watching the Seville-based club, as shown in the following photo:
Navas was on the books of Sevilla until last June when he made the switch to City for a reported transfer fee of £14.9 million.
The 28-year-old arrived in English football with a strong reputation, having helped the Spanish outfit win the UEFA Cup in 2006 and 2007, and the Copa del Rey in 2007 and 2010.
Navas was also part of the Spain team that won the World Cup in 2010 and the European Championship in 2012, while also featuring in the La Furia Roja side that reached the final of the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2013.
Navas’s former Sevilla teammate Alberto Moreno did not feature in the match on Tuesday, and soon after the game ended, it was announced that the 22-year-old left-back would join Liverpool (click here to read more) for a reported transfer fee of £12m.
Moreno will also arrive in England with a good reputation, having helped Sevilla finished fifth in La Liga and win the Europa League last season (click here to read more). How the youngster fares in the Premier League remains to be seen.
