Chicharito’s agent refused to be drawn on reports linking his client with a move to Italy with Juventus, telling reporters that there would be news soon.
Rumours have circulated in recent days indicating that Juve are open to negotiating a deal to sell the Chilean to the Red Devils, but only if they receive €48 million along with two United players, with one of the pair thought to be Hernandez.
The Mexican has made no secret of his desire to play more first-team football and could be open to a move to Juventus, where he could continue to play in the Champions League.
But Chicharito’s agent, Eduardo Hernandez, has refused to be drawn on the subject of whether the forward will be leaving the club and whether rumours of this audacious bid are, in fact, true.
“For now I cannot comment on the situation,” he told reporters in South America.
“I have no news at the moment on an exchange, I haven’t spoken to anyone in England, but there will be news soon.”
With Hernandez promising to divulge more information in the coming days, Manchester United fans face an anxious wait to see if the Mexican will remain at the club and whether anything will eventually come from the Red Devils’ reported interest in World Cup star Vidal.
The Reds have long been linked with a move for the midfielder, but with time running it, United may need to act quickly if they are to land their man.
And with significant transfer sums being quoted in relation to Vidal, it could take an almighty bid to bring him to Old Trafford.
