Despite reports that Chelsea have tabled a £30 million bid, Mehdi Benatia's agent agrees with Jose Mourinho that the Moroccan defender isn't on his way to West London.
The Italian press are adamant that Roma are weighing up a bumper offer for their star defender and will struggle to turn down such a sum.
However, Chelsea boss Mourinho has scotched talk of Benatia's arrival and the authoritative defender's representative has backed up the Special One.
"As far as we're concerned it's just transfer speculation.
"Is his future at Roma? I would say so."
Benatia was strongly linked with Manchester City earlier in the summer and seemed to have his heart set on a move, but nothing happened and the Premier League champions signed Eliaquim Mangala instead.
The ex-Udinese man still seems to want a transfer but his chances of moving to Chelsea seem to be decreasing unless Mourinho and Benatia's agent are bluffing.
