The Chile international made the switch from Barcelona last month, and the arrival of the former Udinese forward is one that has excited Gunners fans ahead of the new season.
Sanchez's signing has given the Londoners some much needed depth to their striking ranks, and he arrives at the Emirates with a reputation as one of the most talented forwards in world football.
Giroud was asked to continually operate in a lone frontman role last season and the Frenchman eventually succumbed to burnout as the Gunners' title challenge disintegrated in the final few months of the season.
Arsene Wenger's side eventually had to withstand a spirited charge from Everton for the final Champions League spot, but the signing of Sanchez has got fans dreaming of the title once more.
The pair didn't link up at Wembley as Sanchez was replaced at half time for Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, while Giroud was brought on for Yaya Sanogo at the break, but the France international explained just what his new teammate offers.
The Telegraph quotes Giroud as saying: “It is always easy to play with this type of player. I think he will maybe need some more games to adapt his game to the Premier League but this is normal and he is a fantastic player.
“He has different qualities to me or Sanogo. He can bring his pace and technique into the centre of the park. Our Germans will join us. We will be stronger this year and get better and better."
Sanchez has been joined at the Emirates this summer by Calum Chambers, David Ospina and Mathieu Debuchy for a total outlay of over £60 million.
However, they have shipped out the likes of Bacary Sagna, Nicklas Bendtner and Thomas Vermaelen, who joined Barcelona over the weekend for around £15 million.
Arsene Wenger's side begin their Premier League campaign against Crystal Palace on Saturday evening.
