Colombian international star Juan Cuadrado was spotted signing a Barcelona shirt last night as speculation over his future mounts.
The 26-year-old flying winger has been linked with a move away from Fiorentina despite the club only agreeing to buy his full sporting ownership rights this summer.
Manchester United and Barcelona are the two teams reportedly locked in a battle to sign him and the potential transfer fee doing the rounds in media could reach as much as €50 million.
In United’s case, Cuadrado is the ideal man to fit in with Louis Van Gaal’s wingback system as he offers excellent attacking abilities and frightening pace up and down the wings.
Despite the Red Devils already having the likes of Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young, Nani and Adnan Januzaj for potential wide players, perhaps Cuadrado’s next best asset aside from his attacking threat is his ability to defend and track back – demonstrated at this summer’s World Cup for Colombia.

In five appearances, he created 10 chances, successfully completed eight dribbles whilst remaining solid defensively with five tackles and five interceptions.
United’s chances of signing the star, however, appears slim given his reported preference of playing for transfer rivals Barcelona and the latest pictures taken of the Colombian man signing a Barca shirt further point towards a potential big-money move to the Nou Camp.
