All the latest summer transfer news from Serie A...
Barcelona have been pursuing new signings all summer, with Fiorentina's Juan Cuadrado believed to be on new manager Luis Enrique's transfer wish list. The Colombian had been eyed up as a possible replacement for Dani Alves, but Manchester United have also been looking to snap up the 26-year-old - and the Red Devils have been handed a big boost in their pursuit of the World Cup star.
Torino's Matteo Darmian also impressed in Brazil this summer, and reports in Spain suggest that Barca have called off their pursuit of Cuadrado in order to target Darmian - leaving United in the clear to sign Cuadrado.
Meanwhile, AC Milan have been busy this week with the signings of Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez and Udinese left back Pablo Armero, but now appear to have turned their attentions to other signings. Napoli midfielder Blerim Dzemaili has been linked with a move to Tottenham this summer, but now Milan are interested in snapping up the Swiss international along with team mate Goran Pandev.
Sticking with Napoli, Rafa Benitez's side are believed to be on the verge of selling centre back Federico Fernandez to Swansea, leaving the Serie A side in need of a replacement. Benitez could now look to former club Liverpool for help, with Daniel Agger reportedly on the radar after the Danish international was pushed down the pecking order at Anfield.
Finally, Chelsea midfielder Marko Marin has left the club again. The German playmaker, 25, spent last season on loan in Spain with Sevilla, and returned to Stamford Bridge this summer only to find plenty of other attacking midfielders in Eden Hazard, Oscar and Willian - leaving him with little option to move away.
Now, Marin has joined Fiorentina on a season-long loan deal - which may once again accelerate rumours of Cuadrado's possible move to United.
