During Xbox’s Gamescom conference today, Darrell Gallagher, Head of Crystal Dynamics, announced that the sequel to 2013’s Tomb Raider reboot, Rise of the Tomb Raider, will be an Xbox One exclusive. The game is due to be released ‘holiday 2015’.
In the announcement trailer below you’ll see Lara as she attends a therapy session, following her experience from the first game. Whilst her therapist is doing his best to help Lara come to terms with what happened, we’re shown the recently-hardened adventurer dealing with running from a bear, leaping from cliffs, and basically doing what Lara Croft does best.
In the description of the YouTube video it says:
‘Rise of the Tomb Raider continues the story of Lara Croft as she seeks to learn more about the deeper, secret world she as discovered around her. Obsessed by what she has seen, Lara is now threatened by a shadow organization intent on killing her for what she knows. She is pushed to her physical and mental limits as she seeks the truth buried deep within the tombs of an ancient world. To unravel the mystery of a Lost City, Lara must use her survival skills and wits, learn to trust new friends, and ultimately accept her destiny as the Tomb Raider.’
