Olivier Giroud was among the goalscorers at Wembley at the weekend, coming off the bench to hit the Gunners' third goal against Manchester City.
The striker hopes to be Arsenal's main man once again up front, although Alexis Sanchez, Yaya Sanogo, Joel Campbell and even Lukas Podolski will be hoping for opportunities through the middle.
He said: "The France striker has to have huge season for Arsenal to win the league."
Redknapp added that he believes the Gunners have the capability to go the whole way this season:
"They could feasibly win the league this year. I wouldn’t write them off. With Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alexis Sanchez up top, that is pace to burn.
"That will scare the life out of any defence. They need to replace Thomas Vermaelen and maybe they need a defensive midfielder as well."
Picking Giroud out as the key difference maker is not as crazy as it may suggest. Giroud striking 30 goals and making use of the weapons around him, can be a game-changer for Wenger's side.
He has the potential to get the best of those around him, and finish off the numerous chances which are going to come his way.
Pushed on by increased competition, there is real reason to believe this could be the Frenchman's best season yet for the Gunners. In another way, that increases the pressure, as his reasons for failure diminish. Fans and pundits are about to see what Olivier Giroud is all about, for good or bad.
