Barcelona may have snapped up the likes of Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Claudio Bravo, Jeremy Mathieu, Thomas Vermaelen, Ivan Rakitic and Luis Suarez, but there have subsequently been a number of departures with Victor Valdes, Cesc Fabregas and Alexis Sanchez leaving the club.
Now, another former Arsenal star could follow Fabregas out of the Camp Nou in Alex Song. The Cameroon international joined Barca in 2012, but has struggled to break into the first team with Sergio Busquets the clear first choice defensive midfielder. Now, both AC and Inter Milan are believed to be interested in signing Song, despite interest from Manchester United.
Elsewhere, Real Madrid have sold goalkeeper Diego Lopez to AC Milan following the capture of Costa Rican international Keylor Navas. The Spanish international featured prominently under Carlo Ancelotti last season, and has thanked Madrid for hsi time at the club.
"It has a very happy time in my life and I can only say thanks to Madrid. I will remember all the good things," said Lopez. "It is a sad moment but you have to be positive. I will have the opportunity to say my farewells to all of Madridismo, which they deserve. Everything has happened very quickly. Will I come back? I think a third spell as a player is unlikely. Maybe one day as a club employee."
Atletico Madrid sold Diego Costa to Chelsea this summer in a £32m deal, and manager Diego Simeone swooped to sign Mario Mandzukic from Bayern Munich as a replacement. Now with more attacking reinforcements in mind, Club America striker Raul Jimenez is now poised to sign a six-year-deal for €10.5m - rather than signing his compatriot Javier Hernandez from Manchester United.
