Toy Soldiers, released in 2010, tasked you with commanding an army of… well, toy soldiers. It’s a mash-up of tower defense and real-time strategy that’s both challenging and great fun. The units are made up of British and German World War I soldiers, vehicles and artillery. A sequel was also released, called Toy Soldiers: Cold War, which takes a spin on the Cold War in the 1980s, and features a Rambo-like character.
Now in the newest addition, War Chest, the soldiers will move away from battling rival armies of the past and face other toy armies, such as the ‘Star Power’ army you can see in the announcement trailer below.
A total of four different armies will be available – the German Kaisers will return from the first game, in addition to the new Star Power army, with two more armies to be revealed closer to launch. Have a look at the trailer below and see how the Kaiser’s fare against a platoon of laser-firing teddy bears and unicorns.
