1) Matt Jarvis wanted by West Brom

Matt Jarvis is being targeted by West Bromwich Albion, according to reports.

The West Ham United winger has fallen at of favour at Upton Park and it is thought that Alan Irvine wants to offer him a reprieve and give him a chance at the Hawthorns.

The Baggies' interest comes about because their original target, Jonathan Biabany, is proving too costly at the moment.

2) David Davis to join Birmingham City

Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster, David Davis, will join Birmingham City in the upcoming days.

The 23-year-old has found first-team chances of Molineux hard to come by in recent times and is thought to be available for transfer this summer.

Blues have capitalised on this and want to make him their replacement for Tom Adeyemi, who left to join Cardiff City last week, with a deal expected to be completed by the end of the week.

3) Steve McClaren won’t make many changes

Steve McClaren says that the Derby County side which starts tonight’s League Cup clash against Carlisle United will be similar to the one selected at the weekend.

There was a feeling that the Rams boss could have made some changes to his line-up in the cup, but McClaren has said that he wants to keep the momentum going after their weekend win against Rotherham and he will pick a strong team.

“We don’t really want to make changes,” he said. “We want to take the cup seriously, we want to go there and win the game.

“We have one or two little niggles, so we will see.”

4) Jackett: Wolves still adapting

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager, Kenny Jackett, has urged supporters not to get carried away after his side’s 1-0 victory over the weekend.

Wolves, competing in the Championship following their promotion last season, were largely untroubled by Norwich and it has encouraged fans of the club that they could be in for a good season once again.

However, Jackett insists that his side is still adapting to the level and that it is still a learning curve for them.

“There are a lot of things we can learn from this game,” Jackett said.

“At times Norwich’s movement off the ball, particularly in the first half, was excellent and the way they try to hunt and close you down. We can pick up on those things and try to improve because we need to going into a tough season for us.”

5) Aston Villa want Colombian international

Aston Villa are hoping to sign Elche midfielder, Carlos Sanchez, as Paul Lambert looks to add some last minute additions to his side before the Premier League starts.
